The 28 year old Franconian has already cooked on many stoves before his time in Coburg. Steffen Szabo gained his experience in top restaurants, for example, as Deputy Chef at the Schloss Elmau (1 Michelin star), Oberbayern and in the kitchen of Hubert Obendorfer`s gourmet restaurant Eisvogel (1 Michelin star) at the Landhotel Birkenhof, Oberpfalz. In June 2016 he was homoured as Top50 cook 2016 by the Schlemmer Atlas. He was nominated for the title “Aufsteiger des Jahres” awarded by the german enjoyment magazine DER FEINSCHMECKER. In December 2016 he was awarded with his first Michelin star as the youngest star cook in Bavaria. Also in 2017 Steffen Szabo was again elected Top50 chef by Schlemmer Atlas.
